Hello friends, the fearless Captain of the good ship BiggerBetterFasterMore here, with some words about this week's activities and last week's triumphs: We had two great crowds last weekend at the Olde Towne and Lightning Jack's and for that we wish just smooch your big ole asses. The sad truth of the matter is that in a lot of clubs around town, people are just not coming out. Business is way down for a lot of our bars and restaurants and that is just not good. I am truly happy to see all of our friends out and spending their hard earned currency on bands, booze and greasy bar food. You are good, strong, righteous people. Who would have ever thought that you get patriotism points for going out, getting poop-faced and listening to BiggerBetterFasterMore. Anyway, both Friday and Saturday were great and we thank you from the hearts of our bottoms. The audition video that we shot on Saturday for VH-1's COVER WARS game show, turned out great and we appreciate the enthusiasm of the folks at Lightning Jack's while we shot that thing. On to this week........ On Friday night, October (yes, I am gonna be the only music related guy not to call it "Rocktober") the 5th, we will be stopping in at one of our favorite venues, GENOVA'S in Hampstead, Md 410-239-4100. This is a super nice place and it's not far from Baltimore, Frederick, Columbia, Dublin, New Delhi, Ottawa, etc., etc. What I'm saying here is that maybe it's time for you to have an adventure and come see us at a club you've never been to before. Plus they have yummy lookin' pasghetti for you to eat before we play. The show starts at 9pm out here in Carroll County, so tell your friends and come early. Now, I don't want to panic you or anything but there are not many club dates in the Month of October (we're taking more time than usual off this month), so I strongly suggest that you don't take the available dates for granted. On Saturday night BBFM will be sending yet another couple off down the road of wedded bliss, so unless you have been invited to this wedding, you can't come. Just make sure to go out and spend your loot somewhere. How about you buy a couple of airline tickets, fly to a far off city, have dinner in a restaurant there, fly home and get online and buy some stock. That sounds like a good evening. We are looking and listening for some new cover songs to learn, but the vast majority of stuff that's on the radio now is....ummmm.....how do I put this diplomatically.....ummm......unlistenable crap. So, we're turning to you. If you have some ideas for songs that you personally would like to hear BBFM do, and these can be new or old, email that suggestion to me at this address. No guarantees, but I bet we get some good ideas. Let me know. Our new schedule cards are in the mail today, so watch your mailbox.
